    The industry is playing with us. You only have to look at the ‘may contain traces’ to see that rather than clean up the processing methods to exclude contaminants, they simply flag the risk of cross-contamination and move on.

    Mandatory reporting of faecal contamination would be a hoot: “May contain traces of rat faeces, mouse urine, salmonella from cockroaches, parrot feathers, or lizard carcases”

    Likewise their perpetual ‘we can’t afford to change labelling’ whine, when in fact what they mean is ‘we don’t want to wear the costs of compliance testing’ -the evidence being how frequently they randomly change artwork on containers, to suit a sales imperative.
