    RE: use of portable electric fans. These folk advise strongly against using such a fan in an enclosed room, without windows open. Sorry, I don’t get it. If the air in the room is many degrees cooler than the air outside, but still warm enough to be uncomfortable (say, 28C) what’s wrong with using a fan to give the light breeze that helps the person to stay cool?
